Wine tastings in a family cellar in Burgundy
I'm Dylan, the seventh generation of my family in Morey-Saint-Denis. I open our cellars for small tastings, and I pick twelve bottles a year for the members of my wine club.
Two ways to drink Burgundy with me
Come to the cellar and taste six wines with me, or let me send the wines to you once a year. You can do one, the other, or both.

The tasting
A walk through my grandfather's old cellar, then six wines in the tasting cellar: two whites, four reds, including three Premiers Crus and a Grand Cru. About an hour and a half.

The wine club
Twelve bottles a year from small family domaines I know, shipped in November, February or May. Three levels, depending on how much Premier and Grand Cru you want in the case.

Dylan in the old cellarI am Dylan.
My family has made wine in this village since 1825. I trained as a sommelier in Beaune, spent three years co-running a domaine in Vosne-Romanée, and I have been taking visitors around the region since 2019.
Most of my time is spent in other people's cellars: tasting, asking questions, following young winemakers who have taken over from their parents, and families who make so little wine that you rarely see their bottles outside the village.

Two cellars, six wines
We start in the family museum, the old cellar I fitted out myself. My grandfather's vintages from the sixties to the nineties are still there, along with the magnums, the jeroboams and the tools he worked with.
Then we move to the tasting cellar, where six wines are open on the table. They all come from small family domaines I know personally, and I tell you where each parcel sits on the slope and who farms it. You don't need to know anything about wine beforehand; the questions are the best part.
€30 per person. One hour to an hour and a half, two to eight guests, at 10:30, 15:00, 17:00 or 19:00, seven days a week.

One case a year, shipped in November, February or May, never in summer heat. The three collections differ in how much Premier and Grand Cru goes in the case.
Family domaines, often run by the next generation. The best value I know in Burgundy.
Mostly Premiers Crus, plus two Grands Crus.
Six Premiers Crus and six Grands Crus from established domaines.
The families behind the wines
A few hectares, a family name on the gate, a cellar under the house. Some have been making excellent wine for decades; others have just been taken over by a son or a daughter.

Our family guesthouse is a restored winemaker's house on the Route des Grands Crus, a few steps from the tasting cellar. Guests can add a tasting to their stay.

A tasting is the simplest way to see whether my choices suit you, before you ever think about the club. I answer every message myself.
